A few request

Postby Guest on Wed Jan 30, 2008 2:46 pm

I have a few minor requests.

1) When downloading multiple files I get a progress bar indicating how much of the current file has been completed, but there is no indication of how many of the files have already been completed, which would be nice to have.

2) I suspect quite a lot of people will be like me, in that they have just one Amazon Account. It would be handy if I could either log in automatically or have the details pre-populated so I could click on go, rather than having to click on Quick Connect and then move the mouse down a bit and click again.

3) The generated signed url defaults to expire immediately. It would be nice if there was an easier way to change this date, either as a default or a button to add an hour or a day etc.

I realise that the last two are very very minor issues, but that probably indicates that I don't find much wrong with program.

Thanks

Stephen:

Thanks for the feedback.

#1 -> Implemented in the next major release already.

#2 -> Good idea. can consider it for the next release (though we are trying to limit new features for the next release so we can make it public :).

#3 -> What should be the default expiration? I agree it should not be immediate. Also, in the current production release there is no easy way to change just the time. You can only change the date. We are going to release a patch today or tomorrow, which will allow editing just the time. But for the next release, we can change the default. So, let us know what are good defaults.

Thanks for the feedback. User feedback is very important for us to make the product better.

Understood.

Hmm. Good question. I seem to be using one day, but that maybe simply because it is the easiest option to select. I guess that would not suit everyone, so maybe the default period would have to be a configuration option.
