Can't upload large file since January update

Postby Jorimuno » Fri Jan 27, 2012 9:58 pm

I keep getting errors of this kind:

Hi, still not luck, and I've tried disabling anything that could affect network on my PC, reinstalling bucketexplorer from scratch, tried the 64 and 32 bits version, etc.

I've uploaded a file to you guys if you could kindly have a look at it because right now I'm dead in the water.

File #1:
Name:20120128060247304Debug.log
Size: 561616
Content type: application/octet-stream

Hi,

Viewing your logs does not seems any error regarding upload process.
Its the error of closing socket unexpectedly from the server side when uploading objects. This may be issue related to slow network.

Can you please retry upload process if it gets failed.

Are you getting this error frequently ?

Let us know your feedback.

Thanks for support :)

Hi Neelam, thank you for your note. I'm afraid it's still not working. Note that:
- I have a 50 meg line
- The exact same files upload fine via cloudberry explorer s3 pro

What happens is, I click upload, and the queue builds up properly. Unfortunately, the larger files (20MB+) start, upload a few megs, then restart from scratch over and over again. After BE reaches the maximum number of failed transfers retry, the queue fills up with errors.

hello,

Yes, I you can reupload the logs. Last logs only had only single file.
Please make sure before starting operation
1. Set Bebug option ON { Edit -> Debug On }
2. Perform your operation.
3. Help -> Open Logs
4. Zip complete log folder and upload on our forum
5. Let us know that you have uploaded the logs.

Sorry of inconvenience.

Thanks

Thank you. I've successfully reproduced the problem twice in a row, then I wiped the logs, restarted BE, enabled debugging and ran the same test in the exact same conditions.
I've then closed BE, zipped the logs and mailed them to you. File is mynametopic1634.zip.

The test was simple: upload 4 folders, having previously manually deleted 3 files I knew were of the size where the problem occurs. On all 3 test, these files :
1) tried to upload
2) stopped at around 10%
3) were retried at the max limit of retry set in BE
4) ultimately all failed

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

We are trying to find the cause of your issue, but not getting success to find the actual cause.

As you said that you had uploaded 4 folder and then delete 3 files ( that are may be mp4) which were uploading failed. means once you have uploaded that files successfully.
Is it correct ?
Are you able to upload other files ?

Can you mention more details to solve this issue ?

Thanks

That's correct Tej, I had uploaded the files using a different software (cloudberry explorer pro).
The test also fails if I try to upload whatever random file that doesn't exist yet. The bigger the file, the more likely the upload will fail.

hello,

Did you upload large file in multipart using cloudberry or as single part ?

Can you download 64bit Bucket Explorer with jre zip version ?

Extract it and run and try to upload large files in new bucket (for test only).

Thanks
