I've been doing some testing on Bucket Explorer trial and it looks very promising !
I'm only missing 2 functionalities that would make Bucket Explorer the perfect solution to my problems.
1- synchronisation: not just upload/download (like Jungle Disk)
Let's say i have a file "A" both locally and online. With my Bucket Commander script I can upload any change to the file.
Now if I rename the file into "B" or move it and I run a Bucket Commander upload... I end up with both A and B in S3.
This is really shame.. especially because I think it's fairly straighforward to implement. (possibly there could be a configuration setting to say after how long a file should be deleted from S3 if it's missing locally)
That would be very ugly if I have to start writing a JetS3t program just to clean up the files behind Bucket Explorer...
Then things can be taken even one step further with multi-way synchronisation between different local copies and online... (like Jungle Disk)
2- file encryption from the source (like Jungle Disk or Cloudberry)
Anyway I won't use Jungle Disk because of the pricing model (and their sign up page asking credit card details is not even encrypted!!) and I won't use Cloudberry because it's not cross-platform.
Please guys consider those functionalities! any chance ?
