We create System bucket for versioning and trashing.

In earlier version we were creating System Buckets with Access Key ID. As Amazon allows Access Key to be changed, so from now Bucket Explorer 2009.10 version we used Canonical Id ( which hopefully will not change) to create System buckets.

If you are seeing four system bucket in your account, then two would be older (Which is created using Access Key by older version) and two would be new (which is created using Canonical ID by 2009.10 version).

We did not delete the older System buckets automatically. You can delete the older system buckets. These shell never be created again. If you want the backup of content of Older system buckets, then copy them to newer system bucket before deleting them.

You can delete these system buckets from the option available for deleting bucket in the S3 tool you are using.
The system buckets will not be created as long as you are not using Bucket Explorer now. After deleting bucket, if these buckets are still visible to you then no need to worry, its just a temporary issue, because S3 may take some time to delete these buckets from all end points.
